Kids as photographers

We had a free day today!! Can’t remember when last that happened, however we decided to test the grounds with the kids, and handed them our old camera’s. Our 6 year old, Danielle, took on the Canon 300D, and Mckayla, our 9 year old decided on the 350D. After a quick lesson in composition they were on their way to take some pictures. What I love about kids, is that they see the simple things in life, why complicate it…mom leave us we just want to take pictures, what’s this with aperture, and shutter-speed? Just take the picture and get on with it…hehehe. No matter how old or young you are, there is always a time to start learning new things and I think they did a pretty good job for the first time. Soon they will be assisting us…or maybe we assisting them:)

Below are some pics taken by Danielle (6 years old)

Taken by our 9 year old, Mckayla

Ma van Vuuren - uh-hu, those cameras are way to heavy for those thin little arms-tripods? Lovely!

Jeanette Verster - What stunning photos!! I love giving my kids my camera to use
