Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things….and no good thing ever dies!

This post is about a courageous woman Sharon Humphrey (1959 – 2007) and her friend Angela Ferguson who is the founder of  Revelation – Dance for a Cure, a production used to raise money to give orphans the vaccine, after her friend Sharon Humphrey died of cervical cancer in 2007 on Christmas day. Please visit their website here Revelation – Dance for a cure. Revelation – Dance for a cure, is a community-driven and volunteer- based organisation committed to fighting cervical cancer to save lives. They use the art form of dance to raise money for their organisation, by way of hosting a dance production at prestigious theatres, where professional performers give of their time freely to participate in this production. You can also read a dedication to Sharon on Vivienna Yap’s website.

This year (August – 2011) Angela Ferguson will be taking it a step further with a production in Durban, Cape town and Johannesburg, so please please support this cause…AND BOOK YOUR TICKETS!! You can also view the Carte Blanche documentary here

I was honoured when I received the invite to take pictures for the  Dance for a cure vaccine drive and to be once again part of their 2010 production.
