I recently spoke to a family friend and told him their is something so unique about second weddings, that I just love, and I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is. It is just that their is this ultimate calmness and tranquil feeling, from the bride and groom, the friends and the family.
We met Celia a few years ago, when we took pictures of her and her adorable little boy. We were delighted when she contacted us for her wedding photography. Her idea was to have an intimate wedding with only a few close friends and family, and treat them with the exquisite cooking from PrueLeith culinary school.
Her little boy had the most superb timing and decided to loose two of his teeth the morning of their wedding. What good planning as I believe the tooth fairy is very reasonable with money on a wedding day (or so the photographers told him).
Our brief for the day was to take photo journalistic pictures and only a few formal photo’s of Allen and Celia with their children at Castello di Monte, the 5 start boutique hotel, situated in Waterkloof Ridge, Pretoria. From their, we made our way to Prue Leith, and oh my word, if you have not tasted their food, you better make your way there, it was like little fairies doing slow dancing on your tongue. Not to even mention that wedding cake, those flowers were made of real icing!!
Here are some pictures of their magnificent wedding.
